Angie received a bachelor’s degree in education from Queens College, while working in her family's silk flower shop on Long Island. There she used her creativity to master her skills in making silk flower arrangements. Angie has worked as a Home and Careers teacher for over 30 years, teaching in Commack for nineteen years until she retired in June 2019. During her school career, she organized and taught several popular after-school clubs in cooking, crafting and sewing. Angie even opened her own sewing and design school for a successful summer session.
In 2018, Angie knew she was going to retire soon and took a part-time position as a Silk Floral Designer at the AC Moore store in Smithtown. While working at AC Moore, her love for creating silk flower arrangements, and other home and holiday décor was rekindled. From there, she moved to the Lenox Store in Riverhead and had the opportunity to make custom wedding gifts that utilized Lenox products. During this time, Angie continued to make her own arrangements and exhibited her work at local craft fairs. However, the Pandemic hit and her career at Lenox was cut short and craft fairs disappeared. Fortunately, Angie has always been a positive person and when opportunity knocked she opened her own shop in North Babylon, and is now showcasing her own special designs.
